NEA has established this page to help educators integrate multicultural and diversity education into the K - 12 classroom experience. The following resources consist of NEA Web pages with information about multicultural and diversity education, books for multicultural educators, and web sites containing multicultural education curriculum. There are hundreds of lesson plans for every subject, and many are adjustable in order to accommodate your students' grade level. Each lesson plan is meant to provide a general outline which may include objectives, needed materials, relevant examples, step-by-step procedures and many other helpful tools. Highly readable and up to date, the book's balanced coverage of major theories and findings makes it an indispensable sourcebook and text. Among the book's unique features are four chapters addressing the content of stereotypes, an area that has been relatively ignored in contemporary treatments.
